Nearly 700,000 AAPI LGBT adults call the United States home. A Williams Institute report analyzes several data sources to provide information on this group, with a particular focus on mental health, physical health, economic health, and social and cultural experiences. The report found that the AAPI LGBT adult population is younger and more likely to experience economic insecurity than the AAPI non-LGBT population. The report also reveals nearly one in five AAPI LGBT adults in the country said they felt unsafe in their communities.
